The "single shot" ARs are Semi-auto. That term refers to a weapon system that uses the energy of the firing of the bullet to eject the spent casing and put a new round in the chamber. In that it requires a pull of the trigger to do so each time, it is "semi-automatic" as opposed to fully automatic weapons which will repeat this process until the trigger is released. Lower priced local companies can provide the same or similar service at a much lower price.
